ELAYSHA is a dynamic female acoustic duo based in Philadelphia, PA. Their high-energy shows, incredible vocal harmony, and commanding stage presence are capturing the hearts and accolades of new fans everywhere they go.
Singer-songwriter-guitarist Elinore Speeks found that a magical element was created in her music when combined with the talents of vocalist-pianist-percussionist Barb Klc (pronounced "kelch").
In 1993, with a group of friends gathered around them at a summer party, Elinore and Barb discovered how naturally and effortlessly their voices blended in harmony.
Today, this remarkable duo has grown into a musical powerhouse with two self- produced original CDs, a fact sheet of venues and events ranging from performances in front of thousands at the Penn State Arts Festival, Allentown's Mayfair Music Festival, and the Philadelphia AIDSWalk, to shows at local festivals, fairs and entertainment complexes such as KatManDu in Trenton, NJ to more intimate settings such as at The Hinge Cafe in Philadelphia, PA.
ELAYSHA has received airplay on college radio stations in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. Additionally, they have performed "LIVE" on cable television from the Atlantic City Boardwalk and Philadelphia Suburbs. ELAYSHA has also been the featured band in entertainment magazines such as "South Jersey Style" and "Out On The Town".
What began as Barb and Elinore's simple desire to perform their music for a "group of friends" has not altogether changed. However, their "group of friends" has evolved into an extensive multigenerational fan base, and their mailing list now spans the mid-Atlantic region of the United States.
